This piece was created for MindFull, an online service for young people aged 11-17 who need support, advice or counselling. The brief was fairly open to interpretation but asked for a head plagued with negative thoughts. The phrase 'still waters run deep' came to mind, and the fact that personal issues or feelings of inhibition can be immobilizing.
